Cynthia and I decided to host a latke party on the first night of Chanukah (or is it Hannukah?) We hosted about 20 people over at Chez OppenRidge. In an epic feat of cooking, we peeled, grated (by Cuisinart), and fried up 20 lbs of potatoes for consumption. And wouldn't you know that our lovely friends managed to eat every single latke. Not a single leftover.
Unfortunately, in addition to eating 20 lbs of latkes, we also went through a good amount of wine. And I forgot to take photos. My (now not so) secret recipe is up on Chicagoist.
